Ascii Jellyfish

Translucent jellyfish drawn as ASCII glyphs, pulsing through the water with trailing tentacles.

Interaction Type

Jellyfish squeeze their glowing bells, glide, and drift while their tentacles sway behind. Light shimmers across each bell and every pulse pushes the plankton aside. They wander anywhere inside their container but never leave it. Move the pointer near one and it swims away. Click to send a ripple and startle the ones close by. Honors prefers-reduced-motion.

Keep in mind

Most components here are recreations of great work from around the web. I don't claim to be the original creator - this is my attempt to reverse-engineer, replicate, and often add a few extra features. I've tried to credit everyone; if I missed someone, let me know.
